About SEO reports

Put this month's search numbers next to last month's. You get a written report your client can read on their phone. Where the cause of a big move isn't confirmed, it says so. No signup, no card, no limit on clients.

What to include in a monthly SEO report

Most SEO reports lose the client on the first page. They open with a table of forty keywords, each with its own arrow, and never say whether the month went well.

A report a client will read needs about eight numbers. Organic sessions and clicks from search show how many people arrived. Impressions and click-through rate show how often the site came up in results and how often people picked it. Average position and keywords in the top 10 show whether rankings are moving. Conversions from search connect all of it to leads and sales, and referring domains show the link building that pays off later.

Average position is the one that confuses clients. Lower is better, so going from 12 to 8 is good news, but a client who sees a smaller number next to a red arrow will read it as a drop. The tool above treats a lower position as better, in its green and red marks and in the writing.

Compare every number with the month before, then say why it moved. Rankings might have climbed after the service pages were rewritten, or traffic dipped during a holiday week. Most of the hours in a report go on that explanation, so it is the part this tool writes for you.

Why SEO clients need the words more than the charts

SEO is slow, which makes it hard to report on. A month can end with more traffic and a worse average position, or with better rankings and no new leads yet. On a chart that looks like noise, and it takes two sentences to explain in writing.

Clients who understand where the work is heading tend to stay through the slow months. Clients who get a dashboard link and nothing else start asking what they are paying for.

Writing that explanation takes most agencies an hour per client, every month. The tool above drafts it from your numbers and anything you tell it about the month, and you edit from there.

Questions

Is this free?
Yes. Unlimited clients, unlimited reports. You do not need an account to use the tool on this page.
Where do I find these numbers?
Clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position are on the Performance report in Google Search Console. Sessions and conversions come from Google Analytics, filtered to organic search. Keywords in the top 10 and referring domains come from whatever rank tracker or backlink tool you already use.
Do I have to fill in every row?
No. Leave out anything you do not track and the report skips it. One metric with both months filled in is enough to write from.
Does it know a lower average position is better?
Yes. A move from 12 to 8 shows in green as up 4 places, and the writing treats it as progress.
Can I edit what it writes?
Copy the text and change anything you like. Treat it as a first draft built from your numbers.
What if a number went down?
It says so. If you tell it why in the box for what happened this month, it says that too.
What happens to my client's numbers?
When Claude writes the report, it reads them and your notes. A CSV is read in your browser, and screenshots are read once and dropped. We keep the report, which quotes the figures it explains, and drop the numbers themselves. Turn on 'Show the numbers table on the link' in Share to show them as a table on the shared link. A nickname works in place of the client's real name.
